Dancer’s film delight

A 10-YEAR-OLD bollywood dancer has been selected to appear in the next film by the director of Bend it Like Beckham. Priyanka Raja, of Elbourne Drive, Upper Belvedere, will feature in a choreographed dance scene in It s a Wonderful Life, by the acclaime

A 10-YEAR-OLD bollywood dancer has been selected to appear in the next film by the director of Bend it Like Beckham.

Priyanka Raja, of Elbourne Drive, Upper Belvedere, will feature in a choreographed dance scene in It's a Wonderful Life, by the acclaimed director Gurinder Chadha.

Ms Raja, who goes to Days Lane Primary School, Sidcup, won the online voting section of the Bollywood Dance Championships and hopes that this year she can win the main dance category in the event. She was selected for the film role after being spotted at Honey's Dance Academy in Ilford, Essex.

Honey Kalaria, founder of Honey's Dance Academy, said: "Priyanka was put forward for the film as she displayed great potential.

"She was among others who got spotted in our dance classes and invited to attend the film auditions in front of Gurinder Chadha.
