A 55-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with having two dangerous dogs following a vicious attack on a police officer.

A 55-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with having two dangerous dogs following a vicious attack on a police officer.

The 57-year-old male officer had 15 bites on his chest, face and arms, after two pit bulls set on him in the back garden of a home in Sladedale Road, Plumstead. Raymond Vickles, 55, from Sladedale Road, Plumstead, was remanded in custody when he appeared at Woolwich Magistrates Court, last Thursday. He was charged with two counts of possessing a dangerous dog, two counts of allowing a dog to enter a private place and injuring someone. He is due to appear in the same court on March 25.
