The visit was to mark Care Home Open Day

MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford David Evennett visited Maples Care Home this morning (June 17), to meet staff and residents.

He was there to mark Care Home Open Day, and staff had organised a cake baking competition.

Mr Evennett spoke with staff members about the organisation and running of the home, before touring the home with the Mayor of Bexley, Eileen Pallen.

He then spoke to a number of residents about their lives and experience in Maples.

Maples Care Home is in Glynde Road, Bexleyheath, and provides long term residential, nursing, and dementia care.
