“Delighted” Bexleyheath life skills centre receives toys

A Bexleyheath life skills centre has received scores of toys for its visitors’ children and siblings to play with.

The huge donation came from the congregation at Christ Church in Broadway and will help keep children occupied while their parents or relations receive much-needed life help at the BCU Skills centre in Bexleyheath.

A BCU spokesperson said: “Our most grateful thanks go to the congregation of Christ Church.

“We were delighted to receive the toys and presents - these will be distributed to the children and siblings of those who attend our crèche provision on Thursdays.

BCU is open from 10.30 – 1pm Thursdays for women only and on Fridays form 10.30 – 1pm open it is open to all.

The centre offer courses, counselling, a drop-in with low cost food and a support group. All our services are free, apart from the food.
