Developer reveals Slade Green plans

PUBLISHED: 11:45 29 August 2012

A developer is looking to build almost 400 homes in Slade Green.

Redrow Homes Ltd have submitted a planning application to demolish the Howbury Centre and redevelop it in the form of 372 homes with either two, three or four bedrooms, private gardens and communal open space.

The potential developer has also provided a detailed statement on how it will deal with potential issues to stay in line with health and safety and environmental legislation.

Bexley council already has its own £8m plans for the site, which include building a multi-functional community facility and two all-through primary schools from the existing Slade Green Infant and Junior Schools.

Redrow Homes’ application will be discussed at a planning meeting. To view it visit the Bexley Council website and use reference 12/01219/OUTM.
