Anti-social behaviour around Northumberland Heath is set to be the topic of a public meeting tonight.

Residents and traders from around the town are being invited to its social club on Mill Road to discuss issues, as residents complain over noise, littering and property being damaged in the area.

The meeting comes nine months after a mass brawl broke out between up to 100 school children in September, which one eyewitness described as “mayhem”.

Police and council representatives are set to be on hand at the meeting, after borough commander Stuart Bell told the Bexley Times the area was his “number one priority”.

A council spokesperson added: “This public meeting is an opportunity for residents to speak to police and local authority representatives as well as somewhere agencies can feedback the action taken to date.”

The meeting starts from 7pm at Northumberland Heath Social Club.
