Juliet once asked 'What's in a name?' Well to New Labour it seems quite a lot.

Tessa Jowell, Labour's minister for London, (pictured left) told colleagues they shouldn't call Boris - Boris.

She said they should either call him by his full name or refer to him as the 'Tory candidate'. She said: "What we have to avoid is a situation where people think this election is a joke and that the future of London is not serious."

Perhaps worrying about what to call the opposition should be less pressing than worrying about how to win the Mayoral elections . . .?
