DRESSES made for Hollywood's most iconic film star will be on show from tomorrow.

William Travilla dresses created especially for Marilyn Monroe will be on display at the Marriot Hotel, Broadway, Bexleyheath until June 1 - the star's birthday.

The exhibition will include Monroe's couture pieces including the iconic white halter dress from The Seven Year Itch. Other outfits on show will be a pink satin dress from the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes performance of Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend and a purple satin costume from How To Marry A Millionaire.

The collection also includes personal dresses worn by Monroe, a recreation from the original pattern by Tra-villa himself and prototypes that were fitted to her.

The designer's Oscar and Emmy awards will also be on display. Tickets are £10 and £1.50 will go to charity.
