A FUNDRAISING night in aid of wounded soldiers is due to be held at a golf club.

A FUNDRAISING night in aid of wounded soldiers is due to be held at a golf club.

A drinks reception at Chislehurst Golf Club in Camden Park Road, Chislehurst, on Saturday, April 4 will raise money for the Help for Heroes charity.

Guests at the jacket and tie event, due to start at 7.30pm, will be entertained by a military quartet and a raffle and auction are due to be held.

Major Phil Packer, a paraplegic Royal Military Police officer who has raised £188,000 for Help for Heroes through sponsored challenges, will speak at the evening.

The 37-year-old from Petts Wood has set out to raise £1 million for injured soldiers with sponsored challenges including completing the London Marathon over three weeks.
