A MAJOR drug dealer has been jailed for five years for admitting selling cocaine and MDMA pills.

Ryan Young, 30, of Hibernia Point, Wolvercote Road, Abbey Wood, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of supplying cocaine and MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) at Woolwich Crown Court.

Greenwich Police seized more than 2,000 MDMA pills after a three-month surveillance operation called Operation Fitzroy.

The court heard Young had a significant history of serious violence and class 'A' drugs supply, with previous convictions of supplying Crack Cocaine and carrying out 22 knife point robberies.

Sentencing him last Friday Judge Charles Byers said: "Vast acquisitive crime is committed towards people and their homes in order to pay drug dealers like you.
