Two men escaped from a house fire which damaged half the ground floor and part of the first floor.

Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters tackled the blaze in Shooters Hill Road last Friday (3) morning at 10.37am.

The two men escaped before the fire brigade arrived. One of them suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The fire, the cause of which is currently under investigation, was brought under control by 12.57pm.
