Eight dogs have been stolen in a Bexley burglary.

Police were called at 10.20pm on Sunday to reports of a burglary at a residential property in Bexley where a combination of eight puppies and dogs had been stolen.

There were two party poodles, four cocker spaniels and two French bulldogs (who have recently given birth by caesarean). All were female.

The suspects forced entry to the rear of the premises where the dogs were being kept in kennels. It is believed due to the amount of dogs stolen that a vehicle may have been used.

No suspects were seen.

Police are keen to trace anyone in the area who may have seen or heard something or have knowledge of the puppies’ current whereabouts.

Anyone with information should call Bexleyheath Burglary Unit who are investigating this case on 0208 284 9296 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
