Elderly woman hit by a car in Sidcup

An elderly woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Sidcup yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3pm last Wednesday (5) in Frognal Avenue and the woman, reported to be in her 50s, was taken to Royal London Hospital by air ambulance.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We attended the scene after reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

“The patient sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital as a priority.

“As well as an air ambulance one ambulance crew, a duty officer and a single responder in a car attended.”
