Election nominations released

NOMINATIONS for the general election have been released by the council.

NOMINATIONS for the general election have been released by the council.

Poll cards for the election have been sent to electors telling them which polling station to vote at from 7am to 10pm. People who have postal or proxy votes will get a pink card, with details of their voting arrangements.

After polls close on Thursday, May 6, votes will be counted by over 200 staff at Crook Log Leisure Centre, Bexleyheath. Votes for the general election will be counted overnight and the results announced the next morning, at roughly 6am on Friday.

Counting for local elections will start at 2pm on Friday, May 7, with results expected at 6pm.

Detailed election information is on the council's website at: www.bexley.gov.uk/elections and has been posted in key public buildings in each constituency. Web access is free at all of the borough's libraries.
