Eleven injured in Thamesmead crash between lorry and bus

Eleven people were injured in a crash between a bus and lorry in Thamesmead yesterday morning (August 20).

Ambulance crews were called to the collision at the junction of Eastern Way and Nathan Way just after 8am.

Nine ambulances were sent to the scene with the first one arriving after five minutes.

No one was seriously injured, and the patients were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich and Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford.
