This week our Help A Pet appeal is looking for a home for an abandoned cat.

Elmo is an elderly male cat around 11 years old who was rescued because his owner no longer wanted him.

Despite having lost his hearing and the sight in one eye, Elmo was declared fit and healthy after a check-up at the Anim-Mates vets.

His fosterer, Teresa Bloomfield said: "Elmo is looking for a peaceful retirement home. Because of his deafness Elmo will need an indoor home or a very safe garden. In return for food and a comfy bed he will reward a new owner with lots of affection."

Like all Anim-Mates cats Elmo is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

If you can give a home to Elmo, please call Teresa on 020 8355 6888 and 07743 331397.
