Erith and Northumberland Heath schools given green light to expand

Plans to expand primary schools in Erith and Northumberland Heath have been passed by Bexley Council.

Northumberland Heath Primary School to knock down a mobile classroom and build a new two storey building with a eight classrooms, a staff room, a single storey hall and three other rooms among other improvements.

The school’s intake is set to increase from 155 to 682 by 2017 to help tackle a shortage of school spaces.

Christ Church C of E Primary School in Lesney Park Road will provide 15 classrooms, a staff room and a hall after being given the green light by the council’s planning committee on Friday (July 25).
