Erith Christmas Tree Festival to take place next weekend

80 Christmas trees, all decorated individually, will be on display at Christ Church on Victoria Road between Friday December 11 and Sunday December 13
Details of the annual Erith Christmas Tree Festival have been announced.
Christ Church on Victoria Road will be the venue where 80 Christmas trees, all decorated individually, will be on display between Friday December 11 and Sunday December 13.
Local groups, organisations, businesses and individuals have sponsored the trees which give them the opportunity to promote their specific roles.
Admission to the festival is free and donations are welcomed, with all proceeds being shared equally between the church and Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice which provides specialist palliative care services to the residents of the boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley free of charge.
The festival is organised by members of the church community at Christ Church, and is open from noon until 6pm on the Firday, 10am until 6pm on the Saturday and noon until 4pm on the Sunday.
A Christmas Fair will also be held in the church hall enabling charities to raise funds for their good causes on the Saturday from 10am till 2pm, admission free.
The Bexleyheath and Eltham Rock Choir will be performing this year’s Christmas Concert which is on Saturday 12 December at 7pm, before the festival closes on Sunday evening with an annual carol service by tree light at 6.30pm.
