A man from Erith has been charged in connection with the violence which marred Millwall Football Club’s FA Cup semi-final earlier this month.

Billy Phillips, 27, of Dale View, will appear before Hendon Magistrates’ Court on May 22 charged with violent disorder and possession of a class B drug, allegedly herbal cannabis.

This follows three men being arrested following early morning police raids on April 23 in addresses in Erith, Biggin Hill and Eltham following violence at Wembley Stadium on April 13.

Three men aged 21, 22 and 27 were subsequently arrested.
