Erith man charged over murder of 17-year-old in Acton last year

He is the second person to be charged

An 18-year-old from Erith has been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old in Acton last year.

Elijah Herry Gooding, West Street, Erith, appeared in custody at Bexley Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, March 11).

17-year-old Usaama Ali was murdered in Crown Street, Acton on October 16 last year.

Herry Gooding has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on March 14.

He had been on bail, but returned on Thursday, March 10 and was subsequently charged.

A 16-year-old boy, previously accused of the murder, is currently remanded in custody for trial, scheduled for April 18 at the Old Bailey.
