Three Erith men have been charged with assault after a man was left with two broken ribs in Chatham.

Police were called to reports of an assault in Dock Road on July 29 after the victim was allegedly punched, kicked and stamped on by a group of men.

Ben Jones and Aaron Smith, both 27, and Greig Andrew, 30, all of Lime Row, have all been charged with assault.

An officer was also said to have been assaulted while attempting to carry out an arrest.

All three have been bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 25.
