Erith riverbank body identfieid as Jamie Tyer

A 32-year-old man who was found washed up on Erith riverbank has been identified as Jamie Tyer.

Bexley police officers and the London Ambulance Service were called to reports of a body being found on March 25 at 7.15am but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gravesend’s lifeboat service and the Marine Police Unit also attended.

A post-mortem has revealed he drowned and an inquest date has not yet been set for Mr Tyer, who lived in Tower Hamlets.
