A MASSIVE redevelopment has won planning permission for its second phase.

Berkeley Homes were given the go ahead by Greenwich council for phase two and phase two A of the redevelopment of the Ferrier Estate in Kidbrooke, expected to be completed in 15 to 20 years.

This will consist of 710 new homes with three to four storey family housing and apartments overlooking a new landscaped park.

The first homes in Phase One were completed before this latest planning consent was granted last Wednesday.

Phase one includes the building of 449 houses and apartments, with 220 for private sale and 229 as affordable homes.

Meanwhile, phase two A is for larger family housing and two four storey apartment blocks.

The total number of new homes to be built in the Kidbrooke will be approximately 4,800 at a cost of £800million.
