A LIBRARY is set to close for a week for improvement works.

North Heath Library, Mill Road, Northumberland Heath, will close this Monday until October 2.

All books and DVDs can be borrowed and returned at any other Bexley library during the closure.

Peter Catterall, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Arts and Tourism at Bexley Council said: "The improved library will feature a more spacious children's area, enhanced presentation of the library's stock including books and DVDs, and a smaller library counter that will give staff the opportunity to spend more time out and about in the library, helping customers find the services and items they need."

The closest alternative libraries are Erith Library, upper Belvedere Library and Central Library, Bexleyheath.

Full details of libraries, along with the opportunity to renew or reserve items online are available at www.bexley.gov.uk/libraries or by calling 020 8303 7777.
