THOUSANDS of people got into the carnival spirit at the Danson Festival last weekend.

THOUSANDS of people got into the carnival spirit at the Danson Festival last weekend.

More than 30,000 flocked to Danson Park, Welling for Bexley's biggest festival to marvel at a range of music performances including 'Suspicious Elvis' and folk-singer Lucy Knapp.

One of the most popular shows was the Baghdaddies, who fused Eastern harmonies with Electronic music including Jazz and punk.

The Lil's Street Theatre entertained families with their rendition of The Wizard of Oz and the KBT Academy of Martial Arts impressed the crowds with their martial arts demonstrations.

Other activities included carnival rides, scuba diving with Sub Aqua and archery.

The Official Rugby Union Exhibition Unit also made an appearance, presenting spectators with the chance to make try's and score conversions.
