Figures for premature Bexley deaths released

More than 1,600 people died prematurely in Bexley between 2009 and 2011 according to new figures released.

They were based on the country’s top five most preventable killers - cancer, heart disease, strokes, lung disease and liver disease.

Bexley’s figure of 1,688 placed it 27th in the league table of local authorities in England.
