Fire at paper processing plant in Crayford burns for 15 HOURS

Fire crews were called just before 7.45am on Tuesday morning

Firefighters in Bexley spent around 15 hours dealing with a blaze in Crayford on Tuesday morning.

A fire broke out at a paper processing building on Acorn Road just before 7.45am.

More than 30 firefighters were on scene at the height of the blaze.

Crews from Bexley, Erith, Sidcup and Plumstead were called to the scene.

London Fire Brigade finally left the scent at 11.45pm.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
