Crews called just before 10am

Around 20 firefighters were called to Erith this morning when fire broke out in a partially-built house.

Crews from three stations - Bexley, Erith and Plumstead - were called to Waterhead Close at 9.55am.

Part of the ground floor of the house was damaged by fire, but no-one was hurt. Crews spent about three quarters of an hour at the scene.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
