A YOUNG man is due in court accused of dragging a policeman for 20 metres in his car, breaking his ribs.

A YOUNG man is due in court accused of dragging a policeman for 20 metres in his car, breaking his ribs.

Danny Walker, 27, of Haldane Road, Thamesmead, was due at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday, charged with possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm in a public place, actual bodily harm and assault on two police officers.

Walker was arrested by police in Central Way, Thamesmead at approximately 1.30am last Tuesday.

He appeared at Woolwich Magistrates' Court last Wednesday and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance, which was due to be yesterday.
