Firefighters put out flames at Waste4Fuel site

Firefighters were called to put out a blaze at the Waste4Fuel site this morning.

The fire brigade was called at 4.57am and the fire was under control by 6.27am.

Engines from Sidcup and Orpington stations attended.

A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said: “It was a relatively small fire, about five per cent of the waste was alight.”

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
