THE organisers of one the capital's most famous firework displays promise an even bigger and better show than last year.

The annual display in Blackheath will take place on the central heath Saturday, November 7, at 8pm, jointly funded by Greenwich and Lewisham councils. Music will again accompany the half-an-hour display and a selection of international food and music will be available throughout the evening.

The council issued a reminder to residents that it is illegal to bring fireworks, including sparklers, onto the heath.

There will be no car parking on the heath. Blue badge holders will be able to park in Charlton Way.
