YOUNG entrepreneurs have won awards after an Apprentice like competition.

A joint team from Bexley Grammar School and Welling School scooped best company at the Young Enterprise Awards 2008, at the Marriott Hotel, Bexleyheath, last Monday. Seventeen teams of sixth-formers were asked to create their own product then sell it in Greenwich Market, in competition with professional Sunday traders. The joint grammar-comprehensive team winning the top award created a company called I-SAW, that fashioned greeting cards.

Teams were also awarded for giving business presentations and demonstrating marketing skills.
