First events marks initiative between care homes and schools

The centenary of the First World War was commemorated on Monday at Marlborough Court Care Home, Thamesmead, with the first-ever Flame Of Forgiveness Fortnight event.

Community leaders, children and residents took part in the initiative between care homes and schools.

Guests included Bexley mayor Howard Marriner.
