FRENCH President Nicolas Sarkozy is due to visit a historical naval site today.

The President is due to land at the Cutty Sark Gardens, Greenwich, by boat this afternoon as part of his UK tour. The collector of Rolex watches will then fittingly arrive at the Royal Observatory at 3pm with his Italian wife Carla Bruni. At around 4.20pm the French Premier will then move to the Old Royal Naval College, before he presents the Legion d'Honneur to yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur, 2005 record holder for circumnavigating the globe.
