May is National Walking Month

Walkers are invited to explore Bexley’s woodland and riverside at two free guided walks as part of National Walking Month.

A 9.5-mile walk from Slade Green train station to Greenwich train station will explore the River Thames on Saturday, May 30, starting at 10am. There is no need to book – just turn up.

There will also be a 7.5-mile woodland walk from Belvedere to Severndroog Castle on the Sunday, starting at 11.15am. You must book a place on this walk.

Some 41 walks will be taking place across London that weekend, exploring the city’s history and culture through its attractions, landmarks, parks and canals.
