The course has already helped more than 30 families

A free 13-week course helping parents to face the day-to-day issues of bringing up a family is set to start next week.

The programme, based in Thamesmead, has already helped more than 30 local families by advising expectant parents and carers of children up to the age or 18.

Starting from September 13, the course will return for its fourth run in Thamesmead.

Executive Director at Peabody Group, John Lewis, said: “Helping to make a difference to one family is an achievement, the fact we are able to help so many is remarkable.

“We would encourage anyone who is about to become a parent/carer, as well as those with children already, to come along and learn techniques that will help them to maintain long-lasting relationships which will benefit everyone from individuals to families and members of the community.”
