Bexley police have teamed up with Battersea Dogs and Cats home to offer free tag engraving and micro-chipping for dogs.

Owners wishing to get involved can do so between 9am and 1pm on Saturday November 28 at Five Arches Bridge, Foots Cray Meadows, North Cray Road, Sidcup, where no appointment is necessary.

PC Lorraine Pinkerton, from the Cray Meadows safer neighbourhoods team, said: “This is a free event and is a great opportunity for people to get their dogs micro-chipped, as from April 6 the law is changing and people who keep dogs as pets must have them micro-chipped.
