Vold Fashion online store has a range of outfits suitable for different occassions

A 24-year-old Abbey Wood resident has gone from a nine to five office job to starting her own online vintage clothing store.

Victoria Dele now buys and sells retro and vintage clothing from the 80s and 90s eras, from her bedroom.

Ms Dele said she launched Vold Fashion, an online store, “to provide a platform for young women to stay on trend yet stand out from the crowd in retro vintage pieces.”

She added: “I wanted to work on a business that can cater specifically to the local residents of Abbey Wood and Bexleyheath. There’s limited choice regarding clothing around the area and I found myself shopping in the same fast fashion stores that everyone else was going to.

“The idea behind Vold Fashion was to provide a platform where residents can shop for limited edition and one of a kind pieces at affordable prices to make them stand out from the crowd.”

The collection ranges from ball gowns suitable for weddings, to 90s colourful blouses suitable for the festival season.

Ms Dele said: “In order to find these needle in the haystack pieces, I would spend hours each week researching trends from friends, neighbours, and local residents and then find ways to translade them into vintage fashion.”
