An up-and-coming band visited two Bexleyheath schools to put on some intimate performances, before preaching about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
The Future Kicks went to St Catherine’s Catholic School for Girls in Watling Street and Bexleyheath Academy in Woolwich Road on Wednesday (27).
The five-piece band are on a school tour to try and raise awareness of these issues.
Dummer Andy Bainbridge said: “It was an awesome event. The kids were really loud and enthusiastic about the performances.
“Children can be so impressionable as they approach their teenage years and we thought it would be a good idea to combine our talk with the performances.
“This is a really good way of spreading the word and meeting people.”
The band performed in the Olympic Village for the athletes last summer in their biggest gig to date.
