A DAD was attacked by a group of men when he confronted them about throwing a glass bottle in a playground.

A DAD was attacked by a group of men when he confronted them about throwing a glass bottle in a playground.

The 24-year-old man was with his four-year-old daughter in the children's play area in Tavy Bridge, Thamesmead, at 8.30pm on Monday, May 5, when a bottle was thrown at them.

The bottle smashed near the girl and the father confronted the group but was punched and kicked to the ground.

The seven men, all aged between 18 and 20, continued to kick him as he lay on the ground. He was hit by an unknown weapon before they ran off.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he was treated for cuts and bruises to his face, arms and legs.
