A YOUNG man attacked by a gang of thugs is fighting for his life.

A YOUNG man attacked by a gang of thugs is fighting for his life.

The 20-year-old was attacked at 2.45am on Wednesday, February 27 in Becton Place, Erith, by a group who punched and kicked him unconscious.

One suspect is believed to have stamped on the victim's head repeatedly causing serious injuries.

Police said the male suspects were three white 17-year-olds, a white 21-year-old wearing jeans and a grey and white hoodie, and a mixed race 23-year-old wearing a brown jumper.

Detective Sergeant Paul Charlton said: "This was a violent and unprovoked attack.

"We are appealing to any witnesses who may not already have come forward to tell us what they know about the attack."

One of the suspects was believed to be driving a Vauxhall Vectra.
