A golf centre is welcoming visitors to join in with a “Great big community cuppa” event to raise money for a Bexley hospice.

The event aims to raise money for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.The event aims to raise money for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.

Birchwood Park Golf Centre, Birchwood Road, Dartford, are inviting people to enjoy tea and cake in exchange for donations to Greewnich & Bexley Community Hospice, their local charity partner in 2014.

There will also be a “guess the weight of the cake” competition and a raffle on the day of the event, which takes place on May 14 at 10am until 3pm.

Melanie Drake, Birchwood Park Golf Centre General Manager, said: “Whether visiting for golf, the gym or simply to enjoy a meal in our Café Bar and Grill, every visitor will have a chance to enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake and make a donation to the hospice.

“Thanks to our generous members and visitors, Birchwood Park has supported a number of charities in the past and this event is an ideal opportunity to raise much needed donations for a great cause, close to our doorstep.”
