The hospice is inviting the local community to dedicate a shining light on their online Christmas tree.

For everyone who makes a dedication a light will be displayed on the Light up a Life website, showing the name of the loved one and a personal message.

Sarah O’Halloran, fundraising manager at the Hospice, said: “Christmas is a special time of year for sharing with family and friends, and thinking of those close to us. For many people it is a time to remember loved ones and absent friends.

“Many people find sponsoring a light on one of our trees is a positive way of remembering someone special, knowing that their light is bringing comfort and pleasure to others.

“This Christmas our nurses will be working with local people, at the Hospice and at home, helping them to make the most of the time they have.”

There will also be three special Light up a Life services including a new service at Christ Church, Bexleyheath, in conjunction with the switch on of the Christmas lights on Broadway on Saturday (November 22).
