TWO robbers targeted a security guard in a bank and ran off with a cash box.

The 57-year-old guard entered HSBC bank on The Broadway, Bexleyheath, carrying a cash box and deposited a bag of money from the cash box into a security chute at 2.15pm last Friday.

He left the bank and returned a few minutes later with another deposit.

Two men who had been waiting in a service queue then ran at the security guard, one knocked him out of the way whilst the other grabbed the cashbox.

The guard was taken to hospital suffering from shock and bruising and was later released.
