POLICE are trying to trace a man in connection with an armed robbery in a post office.

POLICE are trying to trace a man in connection with an armed robbery in a post office.

Officers investigating an armed robbery on Thursday, March 20 at the post office in Wrotham Road, Welling, want to speak to Samuel Godbolt (pictured).

At approximately 4.30pm, two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the post office and forced staff to hand over cash from the safe and tills.

A male member of staff was assaulted and suffered minor facial injuries.

Godbolt is described as a white man in his 20s, approximately 5ft 9ins tall and of stocky build.

He is believed to have links with the Woolwich area and may still be there.
