A DISABLED girl has won an upgrade for her wheelchair after coming first in a balloon race.

A DISABLED girl has won an upgrade for her wheelchair after coming first in a balloon race.

Holly Airey, seven, a pupil at Shenstone School, Old Road, Crayford, was awarded the special 'switch' for her wheelchair last Tuesday.

cerebral palsy sufferer's balloon, which was released last month, reached South Holland. The new switch will now enable her to communicate more, activate toys, music and operate tape recorders.

Mum Karen said: "It has given her a new life.
