Passengers along the Bexleyheath line faced major disruption on Monday morning after police were called after Southeastern reported ‘disrputive passengers’ on board a train.

British Transport Police were called to the Barnehurst to Cannon Street, where they escorted one man off the train.

A spokesperson from BTP said: “Officers were called to Barnehurst station at 6.20am to reports of a fear for welfare for a man.

“The ambulance service has also attended and are treating the man.”

No trains were running towards London along the line, causing delays to services in Barnehurst and Dartford.

The disruption lasted for up to an hour before services could return to normal at around 8.40am.

Southeastern expects delays and alterations to continue until 11am.

During the disruption, passengers can use their tickets on London Underground between terminals, as well as London buses between Dartford and London via Bexleyheath line station areas.
