Investigation begins into fire at eight-storey block in Erith

More than 30 firefighters were called to the scene

Firefighters were called into action this morning (Friday) after fire broke out at an industrial building.

Crews were called to Church Manorway just after 3am after an automatic alarm was triggered by the flames.

Three floors worth of extraction systems were gutted by the fire inside the eight-storey block.

The fire was brought under control by 8.33am.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
