A TEENAGE killer was stabbed in the back by another murderer with a pair of tweezers in a Young Offenders Institute.

Jake Fahri, 19, who was jailed for 14 years for killing 16-year-old Jimmy Mizen in March 2008, was pinned to the ground in the exercise yard at Moorland Youth Offenders Institution in Doncaster and stabbed with a pair of sharpened tweezers.

The culprit was Sean Mercer, 18, who is serving 22 years for the murder of 11-year-old Rhys Jones in Liverpool.

Fahri narrowly escaped being paralysed after another inmate held him down so Mercer could plunge the tweezers into his back.

A Prison Service spokesperson said: "On Monday 2 November, a fight broke out between three prisoners at HMP & YOI Moorland.

"Staff acted quickly to control the situation and one prisoner was taken to outside hospital for treatment.

"Police have been notified of this incident and are investigating.
