Three weeks overdue, but baby delights new parents

TV weather presenter Kaddy Lee-Preston has finally given birth to her first child - three weeks after her due date.

The popular star, best known for her role on BBC South East Today and presenting local magazine programme Inside Out, gave birth to a baby girl.

Albany Rainbird Wilkinson was born and weighed 6lb 10oz.

Says the star, who lives in the east of the county: “The middle name is her grandmother’s maiden name so it’s nice to have a weather theme!”

The 36-year-old TV presenter, who left the BBC in 2012 to pursue a successful freelance career, had been working right up until her due date last month.

Her final public engagement was presenting the Kent on Sunday and Kent Life Food & Drink Awards in Maidstone.
